CBAM and Cookware: The Value of Made in Italy Manufacturing

Updated on 5 October 2026

The European Union is discussing the extension of CBAM, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, to additional finished steel and aluminium products imported from non-EU countries.

On 15 September 2026, the European Parliament adopted amendments to the proposal. The legislative process is ongoing: the final list of products covered and the application date have yet to be agreed.

Our entire range is manufactured in Italy

All our aluminium cookware with non-stick coatings is Made in Italy and classified under customs code CN 7615 10 80.

Purchasing our products manufactured in Italy does not constitute an import from a non-EU country and therefore does not entail CBAM obligations for customers within the European Union in relation to that purchase.

A possible extension of the mechanism to additional categories of imported cookware could entail administrative obligations and additional costs for importers.

For customers outside the EU, the European CBAM does not directly apply to imports of our products into their countries; local regulations remain applicable.

We will continue to monitor regulatory developments and update this page with news relevant to our sector.
